My desktop takes on different identities based off the current piece I’m working on. Always cluttered with materials and ideas in progress, my desktop is often a harried, chaotic reflection of my mindset at various stages of a project in process. If inspected closely, my space reveals telling artifacts: the extendable brass lamp I found at an antique mall years ago, a tea towel printed with a Guerrilla Girls poster, and a metal toolbox that belonged in my grandpa’s workshop that now holds drawing and painting supplies are all pieces of a puzzle.

I love living in Milwaukee. Living near Lake Michigan has been such an unexpected source of inspiration and peace that I’m incredibly grateful for. I’ve turned to walking by the lake and through some of my favorite parks as constants- the air and the sunlight help me work through ideas and feelings, spending time outdoors is so grounding. I love walking through my neighborhood and looking at the historic homes and eclectic yard decorations as a daily reprieve- the colors of my neighborhood have wedged their way into my work.
