These past two months have been wonderfully busy and invigorating! In early June, I sent work to Penland for a two-person exhibition with Sarita Westrup. Our show, "Liminal Language," recently closed and thoughtfully explored the universal impulse to build, hold, and preserve.

Later in June, I completed a residency at the Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), where I was fortunate to join a dynamic group of artists. During this time, I immersed myself in learning to weave on a tapestry loom—a process even more meticulous and deliberate than my slowest ceramic methods. I spent days weaving, reading, eating ice cream, smelling peonies, swimming, and fully enjoying summer in the Hudson Valley.

In mid-July, I traveled to Bulgaria, where I am originally from and currently located. Here, my research into the Chiprovtsi carpet weaving tradition, supported by grant funding, has been enriching. I've had the opportunity to learn directly from a local weaver and explore the Chiprovtsi Museum. Additionally, I've enjoyed spending time with family, exploring the beaches of Greece, and will soon make a brief trip to Ireland.

Summer continues to be restorative and rewarding (and I wish it would never end), fueling my excitement to return to the studio and embark on new creative journeys.
