When I think of my past studio spaces, I think of Virginia Woolf's 'A Room of One's Own', and how important it is for creatives, especially creative women, to dedicate not just time and money, but physical space to their practice. Up until recently, my studio space has been tied to the apartment I occupy. With each move I have made in my artistic career, a specific corner of the room has been reserved as my creative space. In November of 2024, after nearly two years in Berlin, I began renting my own Atelier. Having an official creative space feels incredibly rewarding after years of working on my porch, bedroom, balcony, or living room. It feels like a huge step in my career and in my own view of myself as an artist.
