I have had many studio spaces over the years as I have studied in 3 universities during my undergraduate. My first studio space was on my art foundation in Manchester School of Art which was pretty small at the time. I ended up painting on the roof or in my bedroom by the end of the year because my canvas for the degree show was too big to fit in it and I couldn’t use oil paints in the studio because it was not ventilated enough.
I then had a studio in an old office block during my second year at Glasgow School of Art because the Stowe building (where my studio was meant to be) was full of asbestos. This was a strange space as it had horrible lighting and weird carpeting.
On my exchange in Vienna at the Academy of Fine Arts I had a space on the top floor in a mezzanine space. And currently I am in a mixed studio with 3rd and 4th year painting and printmaking students at Glasgow School of Art. I've also set up a studio in the past in sheds in the holidays in term time
